Momento: Private Journal Diary App Reviews

Just for information for developers, the text in an entry is still not fixed. When I edit a post, only then I am able to see the full text in the entry otherwise not. Please fix it. The app is great. I love it.

Pretty darn good. My favorite tbh. Recommended.

Like many people, I used to like this app for the ease of use, pretty UI, etc. The developer promised an iPad version, but after so many many years, still nothing and now they want to charge more money for additional features, forget it! Too greedy!

I gave it two stars for the look and because it really was what I was looking for, but Ill have to keep looking because it crashes every time.

Great app. Just some problems with it crashing every time I open it. Im sure it can be fixed with the next update. I love that you can link your social media to it!!

I love this! Its like a Facebook for myself! Great way to document memories and events without the hassle of social media.

I so agree with Hikittys review. Editing & changing the time & date should be easier. I also lost a whole year of my journal entries when I updated my phone. Yes it was my fault but I had done previous backups to computer & couldnt access those to get it back! The developers dont support the earlier version & just sent a generic reply as to what to do which doesnt work. Since the whole point of this is to preserve those precious memories- they should understand how frustrating & important it is to get those entries back! Looking at Day One now.

I really like this app as I can log a little bit about each day (so far Ive done every day since January 1)! Its so great to look back at your emotions and your opinions and even mundane aspects of your life. I love how you have tags, people, places, etc that you can use to divide up your moments. I would recommend using this app if you want to write diary journals as it allows you to write out all your emotions in a space no one will see. Its also great if you just wanna keep your memories alive in an app :)

The best and only app I use to journal ❤️clean UI, functional, convenient!

This app is everything I need it to be!

But now its been twice that Ive lost my entries. In the classic there was no back up and so when I switched phones it obviously disappeared for ever. I didnt know this would happen and then the newer Momento came out and I thought ok problems solved and I had iCloud and everything turned on but last weekend I had to delet the app and I thought Id easily be able to get back everything but nope. Im so utterly frustrated. If I had used another app Id probably have all my entries from 2015. Seriously annoyed and pained that all those memories are gone just like that.

I am seeing for alternatives since few days to switch from this app. The app is dead and bapup sync doesnt work as expected

It is a great diary app and I really want to use it more than I have so far but the bulk of my writing is on desktop so this app is not working for my needs as well as I had hoped for. I am moving on, painfully so as I have stuff in Momento.

The new momento 3 will show you support one time and then you must upgrade to see it again or access any other app setting or the most basic features. I needed to import all from Momento Classic to Momento 3. Too bad Momento Classic developers are not around to influence this new ripoff!

I am very glad I found this app, as I am 7 days away from graduation it is super fun to be able to document everyday and even add photos! I will definitely continue using this as I close my book to college and open a new book for the real world ❤️
