Eats up too much storage

I love this app with exception to all the storage it consumes. If there was away to limit all the space it takes it would be a five star app.

If I do back ups on the cloud, why do all my photos have to be kept on my device in the app? Why isnt there away to limit the amount of space its using?

Currently its using almost 1 GB!!!!!
